TUFTS UNIVERSITY, Medford, MA (2013-2015) SENIOR DATACOM PROJECT MANAGER

Responsible for managing the aerial and underground cable plant and inside structured cabling for large capital projects on the Medford campus. Team leader for other Project Managers and technicians. Administered installation and maintenance contracts and supervised work. Developed comprehensive collaboration strategies with other departments at the university. Responsible for all permitting requirements with local Municipalities including petitioning, police details and traffic plans. Developed and maintained cable plant records on MS Excel, Visio and Google Earth. Created project management templates and processes.

 

UC SYNERGETIC, Mansfield, MA (2011-2013) ROW ENGINEER

Managed Right of Way acquisitions for aerial installations, underground construction and existing facility leases. Prepared all necessary drawings to include determining ownership boundaries, designing pathways for new or existing facilities and developing construction details and specifications. Prepared application materials and negotiated licenses and permits with authorizing entities including local municipalities, state agencies, Conservation Commissions, Rail Service Operators, State and National Park Services, and utility owners.

Provided cabling and distribution design for voice/data/video networks including underground and aerial outside plant, entrance facilities, building backbones, structured cabling and equipment rooms.  Provided contract administration and construction supervision for infrastructure and cabling installations of fiber optic, copper and coax cabling and voice/data/video equipment.

 

COMMPATH DESIGN & MANAGEMENT, INC., Milton, MA (2000-2003) VICE PRESIDENT

Co-Founded company to provide engineering and management services to the telecommunications industry. Performed all functions to market, negotiate and complete major underground and aerial fiber optic design/build contracts. Managed all aspects of projects including feasibility studies, route design, permitting, and construction.

 

COMPLUS, INC., Braintree, MA (1997-2000) SENIOR STAFF ENGINEER

Provided engineering, permitting and project management services for voice/data projects including aerial design for CATV, fiber optic network design, underground conduit design, wireless and Inside Plant cable distribution. Developed and implemented procedures and supervised Field Engineers and CAD staff.

Developed and designed telecommunications systems, service solutions and voice/data wiring networks for both inside and outside infrastructures. Managed implementation of new Customer Premise Equipment and infrastructure installations.
